Sangeetham - A Journey into the Musical Heritage of India
As a 2010 Artist grant awardee from Saratoga Arts and NYSCA, Vidya embarked on this exciting journey to educate and engage local communities in the 3000 year old tradition of Carnatic vocal music. To learn more about the Saratoga Program for Arts Funding, click here.
Sangeetham is an exciting three-part project which involved the following milestones:

Part I – Creation of two new musical compositions by the artist.

Part II – A free training course to interested community members.

Part III - Shows in Saratoga County locations: Each show to include lecture by artist and recital by artist and trainees, including children.
